The fight for women's equality and political participation is very old; our ideological greats had laid a strong foundation for it. The Constitution maker, the most revered Baba Saheb, brought about historic change by securing for women the right to property, rights in marriage and divorce, rights in personal life, and through the Hindu Code Bill, ensuring equality and dignity. Continuing that very ideology, for me, the demand for 50% reservation for women is a question of social justice, not merely a political agenda. I and our party want to assure all the mothers and sisters of the country that on the day the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) becomes a strong force in Parliament, we will make every effort to implement 50% reservation for women and will continue the struggle until it is implemented.
